It started snowing on Christmas evening. We actually got quite an accumulation...along with some inconveniences. We actually got some freezing rain prior to the snow starting. So, with the ice as a base to about 6 inches of snow...lots of trees fell on power lines, resulting in lots of power outages. Our power went out on Christmas night at about 10:00 p.m., and it came back on at 2:30 on December 27. My birthday wish came true! hahaha We are fortunate enough to have gas logs in the fireplace and a gas stove for cooking, so things weren't too bad around here. Tony and I had a little overnight get-a-way planned for my birthday on the 26th, so we went ahead and did that and the girls stayed with Meems and Pops that night (and they had power). But, before heading out, we had a blast playing in the snow!

We used vegetables for the buttons and face
Celery for the smile :)
Emily brought her sled, so we got to sled
down the hill in the backyard.
Getting a little push
Beautiful sight!
Maggie's Words Worth Remembering
While hiking back down Pinnacle Mountain on
Christmas Eve, Maggie tripped.
(She was about 15 yards ahead of the rest of us.)
Lynnea yells, "Maggie, are you ok?"
Maggie replies, "Yep, I just twisted my big toe!"
